Since I was a little boy I have always enjoyed drawing. I won a poster competition when I was about ten and was invited to design a logo for a local printer in my early teens, this early success whetted my appetite for getting paid for something I really enjoyed doing. Family holidays meant sketching, while my father took photographs I spent my time drawing. I have been extremely fortunate throughout a long career in advertising to work with some wonderfully talented writers, artists and photographers. I also owe a huge debt of gratitude to my wife Ann and to Nick our son who are a salutary source of advice and encouragement.
